I had a wierd problem with my SV650 after I had dropped it. I was stuck, having drawn a blank with all my tests, so I phoned superbike surgury to arrange a visit as I needed to fix the problem ASAP ready for a trip to the Isle of Man. Unfortunateley they couldnt visit in time, but Jim despite obviously being busy, took the time to talk through the problem which helped me to fix it! A nice bloke who knows his stuff

Jim doesn't do a quick flick over with a duster. This guy will strip your machine for a basic service to make sure brake seals are serviceable, flush and clean carbs and balance them as well as oil and air filters. You will have good quality oil in the case too. The mobile workshop is remarkable and would not be out of place as a human being surgery-it's that clean and well organised. My XJ900 always purrs after a superbike service and you know you are riding a safe machine. Get an estimate-you and your pride and joy deserve it.

I used Jim after some poor services by Suzuki dealers. He carried out a major service plus valve clearance check on my Hayabusa. He did an excellent and very thorough job and I particularly liked the way he posted pictures of the work he did on his service record web page so I could see what had been done. Much better value than the dealer charge as well. I will definitely be using Jim again.

Superb service. Called out as bike was struggling to start properly. He quickly identified the fault and fixed it. He also sorted out all the faults the last mechanic had caused to the bike. After recently being "stung" but exagerated bike shop pricing I was looking for a knowledgable and trustworthy company to work on my 25 year old VFR. Jim gave me a detailed quotation, arrived when he said he would, took great care of the bike and showed me issues as he found them. He got the bike running liek a dream again after a full carb strip and then gave me an invoice for less than the quoted price as some parts were not needed. Where would you ever find service like that at any of the local bike garages?? I would recommend Jim to anyone who cares about their bike. You get what you pay for and you pay for what you get, nothing more. Give him a try!

By far the best motorbike mechanic I have come across, conscientious to the core.
As someone who is by trade a mechanic, and also has OCD when it comes to all things bike, I have found it hard to find someone that actually cares about my bike as much as I do.

What can I say about Jim,
His workmanship and knowledge is first class,and what makes the service easier for myself is that he comes out with the mobile workshop..and that in itself is impressive,easier than taking it to a garage/ workshop, for repairs,servicing etc..

After using Jim for the first time for a KTM service and also a load of electrical installations to another KTM, I won't be using anyone else to work on my bikes in future.
I really like the open honest approach, the digital service record with photos on line and the immaculate workshop. The fact that he comes to you just can't be beaten; I don't have to get to a dealer, I don't need to get a loan bike, I don't get annoyed by the rubbish service at "Cole Avenue Motorrad" or shoddy attitudes at the "orange crush" dealer in Tewkesbury. I'm really fussy about bikes and I won't tolerate poor service. Superbike Surgery get 5 stars and ten out of ten!

Saw Jim's website on a Google search & thought "Looks good to me", so rang him. Best thing I could have done. He came to look at my bike & within half an hour I knew he was an expert technician. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty voltage regulator, & within a few days Jim came back, fitted it, tested everything to make sure & my Fireblade is fit & raring to go again. Thanks a lot Jim. Jim has just completed the 8000 mile service on my Pan,as usual top quality.Forget the myth about the dealership having to service your bike whilst it is under warranty.I have had 3 new bikes and nobody else has every touched them,never any problems when warranty work was necessary.

....My old GPz 1100 A1 (1983) was in need of a fuel injector service as it now wouldn't start or tick over at all. A call to Jim and he arrived prompt on the agreed date with all the kit on the van to test and then clean the 27 years of grime from inside....Hey presto, the injectors serviced, a new set of plugs and she was away...Will definately use for my Hayabusa servicing. Very professional and Jim takes pride in his work, very evident from what I saw.

I have used Superbike Surgery for the last few years and once again great service from Jim. Service, MOT, fixed leak and new tyre in the last week, all at a good value cost but more importantly, fantastic service from a top guy.
Would highly recommend Jim and I refuse to go anywhere else now for any work needing doing on the bike. Jim's knowlegde is second to none and can't thank him enough for the great service provided.

What a great service, I purchased a low mileage 1996 Honda FireBlade before Xmas and arranged with Jim to do the full 16k service, this was agreed for the 4th Jan, he called the day before and collected the bike at 9.00am as agreed, "in thick snow". He took the bike back to his house, and completed the work and returned it the next day. The bike had a full 16k service and Datatool System 3 alarm fitted. The bike was returned with a DVD showing pictures of the work that was completed as well as the before and after shots of the brake service. The Alarm was demonstrated and explained fully.
A great honest and trustworthy guy, will not trust a bike to anyone else in the future.

Can't really praise Jim enough. After having my bike in my local dealership 3 times, they were unable to fix the rattling from my R6 (and seemed to stop really caring!). Jim came out and within minutes had diagnosed the poblem, he then came back and fixed it first time when he said he would and did a great job.
Very impressed with the fact he only changed the gaskets that needed fixing and not trying to charge me for any unnessecary repairs to my exhaust system like many dealers would of!
Great service, top bloke and reasonable prices. I would recommend Jim to anyone for any work needed on their bike.

Jim was recomended to me last year when I was looking for someone to do a major service on my R1.He did an excellent job at a very reasonable price.Since then he has changed tyres,fork oil,chain & sprockets & recently done another service,every job was 1st class.If you are looking for someone you can trust to work on your bike give Jim a call, you won't be disappointed!

The absolute best! Comes when he says, works till the job's right. I have had work "done" by big name dealers etc, and noone bears comparison to Jim. Nothing's too much trouble for him, and he's always prepared to answer idiotic questions on the phone day or night. Honestly, you will not be disappointed. Very reasonable rates into the bargain, WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?

Thanks for identifying the fuel problem on my Honda VFR 750FV so quickly and efficiently. Unlike so many so called Motorcycle dealers/agents you knew exactly what you were doing, no rip-off charges for work done, most dealers charge for work that they have not done, or forget to tighten things up properley!
Superbike Surgery gets my vote for outstanding service and honesty,mobile/efficient/approachable. I'm sure you can build the business up to an outstanding level when more people get to know about the company. Found Jim by more by chance and risked using him based on the guestbook recommendations. I wasn't disappointed. So thanks to all who rightly praised his work. I can confirm he still takes great pride in his work, he respects the user & their bike, offers sound advice, is helpful and has an extremely professional setup. Asked Jim to change my brake lines to steel braided on my XJR1300. Turned upon time and did a good job. Takes pride in his work, unlike the usual monkey boy at your main dealer, who over-charge and don't give a @@@@!
